The Ordering Process

Here we provide information on how the ordering process works, as it is somewhat different from traditional ordering, and it is important that you understand the differences.

Information on reducing mail costs for international orders and on the printing of volumes abroad is also included.

The Ordering Stages

The various stages that your order will go through are listed below: * CHECK This status will not be seen in orders placed through this website. It indicates a special payment method arranged via e-mail allowing U.S. purchasers to pay by check. * ORDER ACCEPTED Your order has been accepted and paid for. * PRINTING Your order has been sent for printing. This stage takes one to two business days (normal time frame, longer around Christmas). * TRANSIT The print run is complete and the order is being shipped to WGSBN Publishing for distribution to you. This shipping takes three to four business days. * PACKAGING The individual orders are prepared for mailing to customers. * MAILED The individual orders have been mailed. Delivery times will vary (considerably) based on order size and delivery destination. Orders are mailed during regular USPS hours, Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings (federal and certain state holidays excepted). * DELIVERED We have been notified by USPS that the package has been delivered. You should have received your order. If you need to query a delivered order, please email orders@wgsbnpublishing.com. You will receive an email each time your order moves to a new stage. When your order reaches 'MAILED' status, the email will contain the USPS tracking number, which will enable you to track the progress of your delivery. In the description above, the term "business day" means any weekday (Monday through Friday) that is not a Federal Holiday.

Notes on Printing Location

We will shortly be offering the option of printing your books in either the United Kingdom or in Australia. Books would be delivered directly from the printer to you, at a lower cost than shipping from the United States. Note that it may not be possible to deliver to certain European or Asian countries if you choose this option: investigations are continuing. Unfortunately, it is not possible to arrange such orders through this website. They will have to handled via the WGSBN website, with payment made via Paypal (although you do not need a Paypal account to make a payment). If we determine that we cannot deliver to your country based on the optimal printing location, you would have to place your order through this website.

A link will appear here when the necessary setup is completed.

Notes on Mailing Costs

The international shipping costs for individual items are very expensive. Typical current (early 2026) costs are over $30 to Europe. If potential purchasers could pool their orders and have the items shipped to a single person for distribution to the other purchasers, the cost per copy would come down considerably. The order could, of course, consist of more than one publication, though that might alter the maximum number of copies that can be shipped in one box.

For example, an order of 27 copies of the 2024 WGSBN Bulletin Yearbook would cost $112 to ship to Germany using USPS's Priority Mail International® Large Flat Rate Box service, a per purchaser cost of $4.10 each. This is the maximum number of copies of this book that could be sent in one box.

Smaller quantities (up to 11 copies of the afore-mentioned volume) utilizing a fully-laden Medium Flat Rate Box would cost each purchaser $8.50.

A Medium box beats the single-unit mailing rate when it contains six books.

A Large box beats the single-unit mailing rate when it contains seven books, but the Medium box is cheaper for eleven or fewer copies.

A Large box would only be used for orders that could not fit in a Medium box.

You should be able to select either Medium or Large Flat Rate Box service when selecting your delivery items. Note that if the weight of the package is over 4 lbs, it has to be shipped by Flat Rate Box.

Very large orders would have to be sent in more than one box.

Library and Institutional Orders

Libraries and institutions who require invoices should also use the link above to place orders. Please check the "Require Invoice" box and enter an email address that should receive the PDF invoice. Invoices will be sent after selection of delivery option is made. Orders will not be sent until we receive notification that the invoice has been approved.
